Our short courses are also ideal if you are considering one of our full length design courses but don't yet feel ready to take the plunge. A short course can provide a gentle introduction as well as helping you to decide if this is the right career area for you. why choose us?
Our tutorial support is second-to-none. You'll be assigned a personal tutor as soon as you enrol who will work with you all the way through. You can contact your tutor directly at any time if you have any questions or problems, or if you would just like a chat about how the course is going. Tutorial support is by e-mail and/or telephone. Tutors can also offer advice on further study options appropriate to your long-term goals. spreading the cost of your course
You can spread the cost of your course over four payments by choosing our instalment option - that's one payment every month for four months. There is a £20 administration fee if you choose this option.
Normal instalment price £185: Deposit - £55; four monthly instalments - £32.50 each. If booking on-line: £160.25; deposit - £55; four monthly instalments - £26.31. (This includes an administration fee of £20.) You will only be charged your deposit at enrolment.
Introduction to Interior Design
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to design principles, taking the student step-by-step through the redesign of their home. The course includes down-to-earth advice from experienced interior designers, showing you how to make the right decisions for your home and create a tranquil and attractive living space. The course book is Harmonious Home by Judith Wilson
Introduction to Garden Design
Create your ideal garden with the help of your tutor, using the ideas and techniques explored in this course. You will have the opportunity to assess the unique conditions in your garden and create an outdoor space that is ideally suited both to the location and your family's requirements. The course book is Design Your Garden by Dairmuid Gavin.
Both courses include four tutor marked assignments during which you will have the chance to create your own plans and discuss them with an expert tutor. Each course includes approximately 28 study hours.
