Two short, introductory courses for students who would like to learn about some of the skills and techniques used by designers, without undertaking a full, professional course. Each of our short courses is four modules long and includes tutorial support from an expert tutor as well as all required course material and a free course book.
Our short courses are also ideal if you are considering one of our full length design courses but don't yet feel ready to take the plunge. A short course can provide a gentle introduction as well as helping you to decide if this is the right career area for you.

You can contact your tutor directly at any time if you have any questions or problems, or if you would just like a chat about how the course is going. Tutorial support is by e-mail and/or telephone. introduction to interior design
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to design principles, taking the student step-by-step through the redesign of their home. The course includes down-to-earth advice from experienced interior designers, showing you how to make the right decisions for your home and create a tranquil and attractive living space. The course book is Harmonious Home by Judith Wilson.
